Father God,
Thank You for this nation [your country]. I ask You to protect this country and bless our government and people.
Lord, I pray for the right party and people who will run the government. Give us wise leaders who are righteous and able, who care for the welfare of our people more than their own interests. Let wise policies and plans concerning our people, especially the poor and needy, be their utmost concerns.
Father, give our leaders wise counsel to run this country in justice and righteousness. I pray in no way will they compromise on what is right, just and fair. Keep our leaders from corruption and selfish ambition. Use them as Your instrument against every form of lawlessness; for righteousness exalt a nation but sin is a reproach.
Lord, I also pray the people in this nation are united and not divisive. With unity, there is so much we can achieve as a nation. So keep the people of this nation from rebelling and casting off restrains. Keep them obedient and submissive to every governing authority for we want peace, stability and progress in this nation, not strife and turmoil.
I pray our people are diligent with their hands. They shall work to provide for their families and stop chasing after vain fantasies. I pray they will not wear themselves out in pursuing riches and positions. Instead they will balance their work and family commitments well.
Father, protect every family unit and make them strong. Do not let adultery and sexual immorality destroy family and by Your power, keep same-sex marriage from being accepted in this land. Lord, heal and restore every broken marriage and family. Make every home, every family a place where there is love and respect, not hatred and strife.
I pray for the peace and safety of this nation. Lord, protect us from those that seek to destroy this nation through war or terrorism. Give us a place where our children can live in safety, without fear of terror or disaster. May You bless the soldiers and policemen who protect [Singapore] and keep them vigilant and alert to potential threats. I also ask for peace and good relations with our neighbouring countries.
I pray for the prosperity of this nation. Lord, keep our economy strong, sound and honest. Do not let greed and dishonesty corrupt this nation. Expose every bribery and dishonest scheme that distort justice. Thank You for supplying all that we need and satisfying us with good things. Even in recession, may You extend Your mercy and give us food in due seasons.
I declare the Lord shall rule over this nation. The sceptre of the wicked shall not rest upon her to entice the righteous to do evil. I come against the spiritual forces of wickedness that threats this nation and destroy every evil scheme. I forbid sexual immorality, homosexuality, pornography, gambling, murder, greed, slander, factions, lying, cheating, theft, idolatry, witchcraft and every ungodly act from dominating and defiling this land. In the Name of the Lord, I break every such bondage and yoke over the oppressed and set them free. I declare no weapon formed against us as a nation shall prosper.
I pray also for the church here to remain completely united and perfect in love. Let the heathens see our unity and love, not strife. Lord, make us shine as a great light in this evil and depraved generations. May You continue to allow us to worship God here and to share our faith freely. Remember the millions that are still living in total darkness in this country. Use the church to bring salvation to the lost and save them from their sins.
I bless You Father. Thank You for healing our land and allowing us and our children to live a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty here. Most importantly, thank You for saving me and many others in this nation from eternal destruction.
