We need to go and tell the world about Jesus because this matters.

The Cost of Witnessing

Have you ever shared the gospel with a friend and then he just ignored you afterward?

Sadly this happened to me recently.

I met an ex-colleague who helped his mum to manage a coffee shop last year. When we met for the first time after 10 years, we chatted happily. At that time, I did not share the gospel with him.

Months later, I met him again and this time I gave him the Good News tract and shared Christ briefly with him. I asked him to read the tract and left.

This week, when I walked up to greet him, his attitude totally changed. He did not want to talk much with me. So I stood there embarrassed and quickly made my exit. As I was in the vicinity the whole week to hand out tracts, we crossed path a few times and each time, he simply ignored me as though I was a stranger. So sad!

All I wanted was to save him I complained to God.

The same thing happened last year when I witnessed to my cousin XY too. He was all receptive and all ears when I shared Christ with him. We even shook hands when we parted. But since that day, he never replied to any message I sent him. Ouch!

Despite these setbacks, I hope and pray that I will not stop sharing Christ. For to keep silent is not love, but to see them perish.

Of course, not all people whom I shared Christ reacted the same way. Some are still friendly.

So, Praise God!
